So, if you read my blog posts, you know that ART in the BOP is going on. I have been here for a dozen years and the same thing has taken place for all 12 of those years, people start working out for a stinking week!

That's right. I gotta go to the Training Center anyway might as well work out. The mindset for this is good. But, the intent on doing it is just not there for most of them if not all.

I have been working out on a daily basis (5-7 days) every week since 2005. I was in a wreck in 2008 and with the light duty and whatnot I was not working out. But, now I'm back. Since, Dec 2011, I have worked out 5 days a week with the exception of missing 2 days due to working O/T.

I say all of this not to brag. Just making the background for my gripes. The workout areas are left in disarray. Weights, bars, other equipment left strewn around. People not thinking that others are coming in after them. The bad thing is, there is no way it can be the same people pulling this crap everyday. The same people are not there everyday.

I have vented. I'm done. Thanks for listening.

I totally agree with you on this issue. When I worked in Oklahoma for a few years, I used the staff weight room 4-5 days per week. There were about 5 other staff members that also consistantly used the gym as well. Around the first of each year, people had the New Year's Resolution to start getting in shape. They normally lasted on an average of a few weeks max, if that. But during the time they used the gym, they left it an utter mess! Which left the few of us that actually used the gym on a regular basis there to pick up their messes. As you said, weight bars, dumbbells, and all the equipment would just be left strewn about the place. Not to mentioned all the trash left behind.

Luckily, since getting on with the BOP during the summer, I have not had that issue with the staff gym here yet.

After I labored in Oklahoma for any couple of years, I made use of employees exercise 4-five days each week. There have been about 5 other staff people which consistantly used a fitness center too. Round the to begin every year, people had the brand new Year's Resolution to begin getting fit. They normally survived on typically a couple of days max, in the event that. But throughout time they used a fitness center, they left it an utter mess! Which left the couple of people that really used a fitness center regularly there to get their messes. While you stated, weight bars, hand weights, and all sorts of equipment would certainly remain thrown concerning the place.
