So, there are a few things to know when it's count if you are an inmate. Count is usually announced verbally, you can hear keys jangling, and I'm sure there are other things that just aren't coming to mind. In other words, it would be hard to be surprised.

I, for one, have seen my share of strange goings on in a cell. Now, that we have this lower security level, we still have strange goings on, just not BAD strange.

We have one guy during 4 pm count, every single day, is on the toilet. And not just on the toilet but naked on the toilet...spread eagle to boot. SURPRISE! I've heard of being regular but this is ridiculous.

I have a guy in the unit I work that during the 10 am count, every weekend and holiday, so far this year he is standing in the center of his cell, hands on hips, with the look of "Here we go again." wearing nothing but tidy whities.

Now I can understand if the guy is sleeping and I announce count, he gets out of bed. But no, I have seen this guy fully dressed going to and from open move areas prior to count time. Some guys just don't know how to conduct themselves.
